I’ve been trying to get my silver jewelry business online but I don’t have the start-up fees to get it done. I was so glad when one of my girlfriends sent me to freewebs.com. She also owns her own home-based business. The site gives you easy-to-use tools as well as templates to suit your style. I love the blue and black background that I have on my web page.

Blair Underwood is a great actor and has now added author to his title. Underwood, who wrote children’s book a year ago, has made his debut in the fiction novel world. The book is called “Casanegra” (maybe the opposite of Casablanca perhaps) and is said to be filled with hot intimate scenes and a lot of drama. Be sure to be on the look out for this.

Jazz fans in Hartford, Connecticut got to enjoy music from top jazz musicians in an open air atmosphere at the Bushnell Park, downtown Hartford. The audience were treated to performances by guitarist Joyce Cooling and vocalist Kevin Mahogany to name a few. The real showstopper was the performance from renowned saxophonist Gerald Albright. A good time was had by all. Pity it wasn’t heavily advertised.

Disney Channel’s much anticipated sequel “High School Musical 2″ may have received mixed reviews from the media but the people who really mattered the most - the young viewers- had nothing good to say about the movie. On IMDB young critics tear the sequel apart calling it boring, uninteresting songs and inconsistent. I have to agree with the kids, I too was bored after watching it the first time around and the second and third. To me its just a bad version of “Fame” meets “Grease”, two musicials that directors should want to leave alone. And I heard they are talking about Part 3? I hope someone stops them before they self-destruct.

Want to know what my biggest pet peeve is a gold digging woman. These are the women who get into relationships just so that they can get a man’s money. There is no love involved here, at least not for the man anyways. These women think that they are better than everyone else is but in actuality, they are just a step or two from a prostitute. Men be careful. Any signs of a gold digger RUN!

I am so glad that they moved Passions, the daytime drama exclusively to DirecTV. I’ve seen some bad soaps in my life but this one takes the cake. It is the pits. I mean in this day and age of daytime drama where most imitate real life stuff each day, why in the world would I sit and watch a witch called Tabitha who has a daughter by the name of Endora. Helllloooo,!!!! FYI, this is the 21st century. Get with it!

I was so appalled and concerned when I heard that actor Owen Wilson was admitted to the hospital for an alleged attempted suicide. He’s one of the funniest guys in the movie that I know why would anyone want to do that to him or herself. I mean it’s not as if he’s not getting called to star in movies or anything. Oh well, I guess having lots of money really can’t make some people happy.

Soon the kids would be heading back to school and most will have to take along their lunch with them. What are you packing into your children’s brown bag or lunch kits? Whatever it is, make sure that it is nutritious and healthy for them. Pack a lot of fruits and mix in some vegetables like broccoli in their favorite Mac and cheese. Turn an ordinary and bland sandwich extraordinary. Instead of plan ham sandwich, jazz it up with a slice of cheese, lettuce and tomatoes to make a delightful treat.

I am in all support of those who have strong views about a certain topic in society and want to stick by what they believe in. I love that. But I think some people allow themselves to get too passionate and involved when trying to champion a cause. I never expected last week to go into KFC and see protesters in front of the restaurant holding up “Save the Chickens” signs. Clearly they are vegetarians but we can’t all be vegetarians or meat lovers for that matter. The minute I left out of the car walking towards the restaurant’s entrance, they all looked at me as if I was going to commit a crime. I graciously said “I’m sorry. But I’m very hungry!”

I put out an ad on Craigslist for two items for sale. Would you believe that no one inquired about it? I was so disappointed. Since I really need to get this stuff out of my home, I decided to post it in the “free” section. The calls were endless. Unbelievable. Which goes to show that people don’t always like to pay for things that they want.
