Today I’ve been looking around online trying to find the cheapest dog food I can find. A friend of mine is a veterinarian and he is always looking for good deals on bulk animal products and supplies. Sometime’s he has me do the legwork for him and find deals and he gives me a few bucks for the help. He just placed a large order for cat litter. He prefers to use dry dog food, but he sometimes uses canned dog food if he’s dealing with a picky eating dog.

He also deals with livestock and horses, but the customer has to pay quite a bit more for dealing with horses and larger animals. He actually makes quite a bit of money. I would say at least 60% of the money he charges his customers goes right into his pocket, even after paying his staff and all of his bills and buying the supplies he uses.

I never thought that being a veterinarian would be very lucrative, but you would be surprised at the amount of money there is to be made. just giving a dog their shots.
