There was a dance that was going to be held at my daughter’s school soon. Her boyfriend was not sure what to rent or buy for the special occasion. It was a formal dance, so he had to dress nice and wear something somewhat fancy. My daughter had already bought her formal gown. She wanted him to wear something of the same color and something that was very nice looking. Someone told her he should wear a tuxedo. He already owned a suit, but he wore that at a previous dance the school had, so did not want to wear the same thing to this one. He went into a formal wear shop to see what they suggested and what the prices were to buy or rent. The salesman at the store suggested he only buy, or rent, a tuxedo shirt to save on costs. He also said many people do not realize that if you have some nice slacks or complete suit, all you really need to buy for an occasion like this is a tuxedo shirt to make it more fancy. He ended up buying one at a very reasonable cost and they tailored it for free. If he would not have gone into this specific store, he may have ended up paying a lot more money just to rent a tuxedo and would’ve had to take it back. This way he saved on costs and also now has a tuxedo shirt whenever they want to go somewhere fancy or formal. It is his to keep.

My wife works in an office and was recently moving to a different office in the same building. They had so much office furniture that was getting old and either needed repaired or replaced. The owner of the company was trying to decide what they should do now, since they were having to move everything anyway. He decided to sell all the office furniture they currently have and buy all new pieces. She asked me if I’d be interested in buying any of it since he had offered it to the employees first, before having a sale or auction. We had a very old desk in our den and also in our bedroom. Our shelves were very old, too. We decided that we could use some of the office furniture that he was selling, since some of it was better than what we currently have. We bought several items at a very low price. It all looks so much better in our home now. He sold the rest of all the office furniture that the employees did not buy at an auction.

Awhile back I needed to transfer some files from one computer to another computer, so I picked up a 4gb compact flash drive. It held plenty of files so I did not have to burn multiple CD’s to transfer the data. Now that I’ve been using a compact flash drive, I wish I would have been using one for years rather than using CD’s or DVD’s to transfer files between computers.
