The company my neighbor works for was closing the office he works in. He is in upper management, so they are not laying him off as they are many of the other employees. They have already gotten a couple quotes. They base their quotes on how far they are moving, what supplies will be needed, and if they need help with packing and much more. When he told me the difference in pricing from different companies, I was shocked. He is also researching backgrounds and ratings of the long distance moving companies he is calling. I never realized there were very many long distance moving companies available until now. It is actually sometimes cheaper than renting a big truck and moving yourself and a lot less work. They are saving lots of money and time by hiring one of the long distance moving companies and he is also purchasing insurance that they offer.
