I do a lot of mechanic work on my automobiles and the best investment I have made is the gloves I use while working under the hood. I used to burn my hands and get all scraped up while working on cars, but my Mechanix gloves have eliminated most of that. It’s really easy to scrape, burn and bruise your knuckles while removing nuts and bolts when the wrench slips off and your hand slams into something sharp or hot. A good pair of gloves can be your best friend in the shop. I only paid around $30.00 for the shop gloves I use on a daily basis and I have no regrets. They are padded in all of the right places and are pretty heat resistant.
