I took my baby to the dentist for the first time recently and I was told that she had a few cavities due to breastfeeding too much. Isn’t breastfeeding supposed to be good for kids? Anyway, that’s another subject. Since the baby could not even sit still in the chair for the initial checkup, they suggested that I take her to the local hospital for general anesthesia so that they could fill and repair her teeth. I am not comfortable about having my child put to sleep for so long. I get nervous thinking about that. And then too, before the operation, they would require that she not eat for eight hours. I have a problem with that one too. I mean is this all really necessary?

Want to know what my biggest pet peeve is a gold digging woman. These are the women who get into relationships just so that they can get a man’s money. There is no love involved here, at least not for the man anyways. These women think that they are better than everyone else is but in actuality, they are just a step or two from a prostitute. Men be careful. Any signs of a gold digger RUN!

I am so glad that they moved Passions, the daytime drama exclusively to DirecTV. I’ve seen some bad soaps in my life but this one takes the cake. It is the pits. I mean in this day and age of daytime drama where most imitate real life stuff each day, why in the world would I sit and watch a witch called Tabitha who has a daughter by the name of Endora. Helllloooo,!!!! FYI, this is the 21st century. Get with it!

I am in all support of those who have strong views about a certain topic in society and want to stick by what they believe in. I love that. But I think some people allow themselves to get too passionate and involved when trying to champion a cause. I never expected last week to go into KFC and see protesters in front of the restaurant holding up “Save the Chickens” signs. Clearly they are vegetarians but we can’t all be vegetarians or meat lovers for that matter. The minute I left out of the car walking towards the restaurant’s entrance, they all looked at me as if I was going to commit a crime. I graciously said “I’m sorry. But I’m very hungry!”

Why do people wear eyeglasses anyway? Have you ever wondered about that? I wore glasses since I was ten years old and as I got into my thirties I still had to wear them. My vision was still not clear after all those years. So what was the purpose of getting glasses in the first place if after several years everything remained the same with my sight. So quite recently I woke up one morning and decided to get rid of the glasses. After all, all it ever does is to give you those unsightly dark marks on your nose bridge.

I’ve been following up that story about Pastor Weeks who allegedly physically assault his wife gospel singer Juanita Bynum and all I can say is “shame shame shame”. I remember watching their wedding on TV; I cried tears of joy over that wedding and even wished that mine had been that elaborate. Well I’m singing a different song now. If Pastor Weeks did commit this assault, I hope he gets the full brunt of the law for no man should be allowed to put his hands on a woman.

It seems like every time I’m planning my flight schedule, there is some crazy person elsewhere is also planning their vacation as well. I always seem to get the seat that is in the vicinity of some crazy person. The last guy I sat next to did not only harass the for an extra helping of snacks but he was making all sorts of silly antics with a red cloth that he had retrieved from his bag which he eventually turned into a towel head wrap. I had to laugh. I mean who wouldn’t? Would you believe he acted the fool all the way on the flight? I left the plane in tears from laughing too much.

I was so content on getting shoes for my daughter from Wal-Mart when her father decided that she should get “brand-name” shoes for her. What a dilemma when the wrong size of shoes showed up at my home and I had to return it for an exchange and find out that I’m being billed for both the original and replacement shoes! I didn’t know they did stuff like that. When I queried it though, I was told that the employee had given me wrong information. Wrong or right, I asked for a full refund and waited all of two weeks to get it.

There was a time when a man and a woman would say “I do” and actually mean to honor and love each other for as long as they both shall live. Nowadays, people are not taking their vows that seriously. I especially have a problem with those who are marrying for citizenship purposes. My girlfriend was horrified when she found out that her intended husband was really trying to get citizenship from her. Luckily for her, the pastor of her church decided that he was in no hurry to marry them. To stall the wedding, he invited them for two months of marriage counseling.

The counseling not only put the wedding on hold but she was able to see what the creep was all about. Now don’t get me wrong, there are legitimate marriages between a citizen and non-citizen, but one just ought to be careful that when they utter their vows that they’re not expecting a financial pay-off or Green card behind it.

No wonder banks like Webster Bank stay way behind to others like Bank of America and Wachovia. That’s because they’ve got bad customer service, so bad that I am closing my account with them. It’s bad enough that I have had numerous problems with  the bank at Waterbury. The problem was the bank’s fault because I was misinformed about a lot of things by their incompetent staff.   As I tried to get the problem rectified I was transfered to a bitch that they called  Supervisor Meryl who came off on me as if I had stolen her man. I remained calm, cool and collected for a while, trying to point out to her that she was displaying bad customer service to which she kept running her mouth. Even as I tried to get her name she was sassing me up and down. But sometimes you have to stoop to these people’s level. She brought out the insults and I had a loaded “potty mouth” that I unleashed on her before hanging up. These people really know how to bring a person out of character. My problem with the bank remains unsolved but I’ve already moved on to much greener banking pastures.
