No wonder banks like Webster Bank stay way behind to others like Bank of America and Wachovia. That’s because they’ve got bad customer service, so bad that I am closing my account with them. It’s bad enough that I have had numerous problems with the bank at Waterbury. The problem was the bank’s fault because I was misinformed about a lot of things by their incompetent staff. As I tried to get the problem rectified I was transfered to a bitch that they called Supervisor Meryl who came off on me as if I had stolen her man. I remained calm, cool and collected for a while, trying to point out to her that she was displaying bad customer service to which she kept running her mouth. Even as I tried to get her name she was sassing me up and down. But sometimes you have to stoop to these people’s level. She brought out the insults and I had a loaded “potty mouth” that I unleashed on her before hanging up. These people really know how to bring a person out of character. My problem with the bank remains unsolved but I’ve already moved on to much greener banking pastures.

Finding a job in my state is hard work. I am very qualified at a lot of things so I don’t know why it’s so hard for me to actually get it. I damn near practically kissed-ass at one of the local newspaper firms trying to get at least my pinky toe in the door. But I’ll keep you posted on how that goes. Nevertheless, I decided to put my resume with the employment agency. Do they really work? I think its a waste of time though, especially with me having to travel some 30 minutes from my home for an appointment with the agency. I was given a timesheet and some documents on the agency’s policies but I’m still waiting to hear back from them on a job. Especially since I was told that there was a vacancy in a company right across the street from where I live. I’ll keep looking around for jobs on my own though. I’ll find something… I guess.

I do freelance writing for companies from time to time. The pay isn’t nothing to write home about but if you have four or five projects going with other clients, then you should be all set financially. I met with an editor who immediately assigned me to work and mind you without seeing samples of my work or resume. While trying to get the work done, my baby kept interrupting and as a family rule, my husband and I would usually drop whatever we are doing to make sure that the baby’s needs are taken care of. It was one night trying to meet my deadline that the editor started to voice her opinion on the whole baby situation. She had not only accused my baby of being “spoilt” but she also added that I should sit and get her work done and let the baby learn independence by watching an educational DVD. In my mind I’m thinking that this woman, who is also a mother, is one of those people that the media always talk about who uses TV to babysit their kids. I immediately called off her project citing family first and i knew she was not a happy camper. Her lost. In the end it really isn’t worth my sweat and time working my ass off for $2.00 per $500 word article when I could be spending that time with my kid or getting house work done. I think my husband said it best when he said “I’m sure our daughter could find $2.00 in quarters around the house while you’re killing yourself behind that writing project”. He’s right. Ain’t worth it.

I’ve been eyeing Telecommutejobs.com or more commonly Tjobs.com for a long time trying to get some work to do at home. With all the success rates that they publish about those who get jobs etc, I decided to give it a try. Lo and behold I’m stopped in my tracks as I’m requested to purchase a password that costs $15.00 which is valid for a year for members. Deciding that I really have nothing to lose, except a few bucks, I signed up. The nerve of this company to put up job vacancies without opening and closing dates. And not only that, I’m not even sure that some of these companies really exist. Quite frankly I think this company has a bunch of good graphic artists to their avail to put out these fake websites. There’s a so called employer with the website http://www.roomserviceanywhere.com There is a girl on the room service website who I’m guessing is pushing 70 years old right now, the site looks that ancient and bogus. And it has not even been updated since 2005. Go figure! For laughs, go to room service’s Contact Us page and read the crap on there. Please beware of T-job’s website.. I don’t think they’ve got legitimate work for anybody. They make money by ripping people off.
