For my brothers birthday I picked him up some new 2008 DC skate shoes. He loves the DC brand and he has been wanting the new 2008 Rob Dyrdek shoe, so I know he’s going to love these. They cost me right around $65 at a local shoe store. I can’t really complain about the price, though. The shoes are made very well and every pair of shoes he gets always last him forever.

My son recently got hurt on one of the swing sets at his daycare. He was swinging and the chain broke, which caused him to fall to the ground. I reported it to the state we live in and they did an investigation and went to the daycare to check the complete playground out. I also had medical insurance I turned it into as well, to pay for all medical expenses. They needed a copy of the report from the state, too. The findings on the state’s report concluded that all the swing sets at the daycare center needed to be replaced. They were not up to the states code and were rusted in many places and falling apart. After all the swing sets were replaced, we never had any further problems.

My girlfriend gave me a nice USB flash drive as an early easter present this year. She knows that I love little gadgets like this and I was pretty surprised that she actually picked out a nice 4gb one. I’ve already used it to transfer some of the files from my home computer onto my work computer and vice versa. I love this little thing.

I went to the store to buy myself a new high definition television. When I got home and opened everything up that was included in the box, the HDMI cables were not included. I was not aware of this when I bought the television, so I had to make an extra trip back to the store to buy some. The price for the HDMI cables were much more expensive than I thought they would be. For the high price of the television, I think they should include them with it.

I’m not a “bling bling” type of guy but I am definitely a lover of designer jewelry. I’m the kind of man who believes that less is more. I have invested in three pieces of designer jewelry and that is all I need right now. I just purchased a ring and chain and have intentions of getting the ID bracelet to match my chain link within the next few weeks. My girlfriend is trying to get me to get her some designer jewelr as well and I plan on getting it for her. Her demands are usually small so I can pull this one off for her.

I’ve been wanting an elliptical machine for a while now. They’re supposed to work twice as good as a treadmill in the same ammount of time. I’ve checked out various fitness equipment and an elliptical really seems like the best option for me. I’m going to try and talk my girlfriend into letting me buy one soon. I know she’ll use it just as much as I’ll use it.

I definitely have to get a new wardrobe for church. These fitted pants on my hour-glass shape just won’t do. The last time I went to church I felt like a complete sinner, I ran out as soon as service was over. My girlfriend was concerned afterwards, said that I should stay and mingle and that it’s ok to wear what I have. No way.  Lord knows I didn’t want to bring any temptation into His house. I haven’t been back to church since. That was six months ago. Go figure.

Can’t wait for the Sunday newspapers to get your coupons. If you have a printer then go over to Coupons.com and print up the specials that you want. In order to take advantage of great savings, you would need to fill out a small registration. I think it’s all worth it though, especially considering that you can get unlimited access to coupons.

I put out an ad on Craigslist for two items for sale. Would you believe that no one inquired about it? I was so disappointed. Since I really need to get this stuff out of my home, I decided to post it in the “free” section. The calls were endless. Unbelievable. Which goes to show that people don’t always like to pay for things that they want.

Although the convenience of shopping online is unmatched, it’s the high prices on the shipping and handling that is throwing me for a loop. I was trying to get a futon for the house at an online store and come to find out that I have to pay close to two hundred dollars extra for shipping and handling. That’s crazy! I could hire a dude with a truck for much less to take me to the store to get the futon.
