Last year my brother in-law had his house broken into while he and his family were on vacation nearly 2000 miles away. As soon as his alarm went off, he received a call on his cell phone from ADT’s customer monitoring center letting him know that his alarm was going off and they wanted to be sure everything was alright. My brother in-law informed them that they were on vacation and nobody was at the house. ADT alerted the local police and they were there within minutes. My brother in-law purchased his home security system from ADT right when they moved into the house. My sister told him that it was a waste of money because they moved to a “very safe neighborhood” and wouldn’t stop complaining about spending the money on a full home security system when they didn’t need one. Well, it turns out that even the safest neighborhoods still get houses broken into occasionally and that you can never be too safe. If they haden’t installed the alarm system, who knows what they would have came home to.

I can’t even imagine coming back from vacation to a trashed house with all of my family’s possessions and heirlooms gone. My sister now wants him to install security cameras on the house so that they can monitor them from any computer wherever they are. I’ve been thinking about installing cameras at my home for a while now, and I think I might go out and buy a full video surveillance system when I get my income tax check next month.

It’s that time of the year again. I just got off the phone with my travel agent. I’ve got plane tickets and Las Vegas hotel reservations scheduled for December 7th. I love going out there during this time of the year. The plane tickets usually much cheaper, too. My girlfriend is actually going to go this time, which is a nice change. Usually it’s basically a boys night out during the entire trip.

I have been planning for a family vacation for a couple of weeks now. There are so many hotel deals I found when searching online. Some hotels are free with a package with the airline and staying a certain amount of days. Others offer three free nights after purchasing one week’s stay. I even found one that offered free brunch each morning regardless of the amount of people staying in the room. I was very impressed at all the hotel deals there are. Now, I will have to make up my mind real soon and make arrangements.

I recently took a vacation to Texas. A lot of people suggested to me that I should only take one carry on piece of luggage. I’ve always taken more than I need when traveling. Since I was flying, like I usually do, I decided to take my friend’s advice and try to take just one piece of luggage. I carried it on with me, so there was no luggage to check in. Upon landing, it was wonderful, too, that I just took the suitcase I carried on and did not have to stand around waiting for it at the luggage area. It really ended up saving me lots of time and it was so much easier than I would have ever thought it would be.

There are many hotels in Reno, Nevada. I am planning on visiting Reno soon, so I decided to do a search on the internet for Reno hotels. I was amazed and shocked how many there were to pick from. There was many different prices, sizes and locations listed. I started with the cheapest and went from there. It was such a big decision because they all had positive features about them. It didn’t take long and I made my decision and made my reservation.

My family has been on many vacations over the past several years. One of our favorite that we repeat pretty often is spending time at different lakes. We currently own 2 inflatable boats, which we always take to the lake with us. We have six children, who have gotten bigger and more independent, so we are now shopping to buy it least one more, and maybe even two more. There is no upkeep or maintenance to owning and using these boats. Of course, you must clean them when finishing using them, but that is all. We also have a carrying case we put ours in. After cleaning them and letting them dry completely, we fold them and put them in the case and there is no more to do until the next time you use them. They fold small enough that not much space is needed to transport them or store them. They come in so many different sizes and colors. We feel that if we didn’t own these, we could not afford to go anywhere for a fun vacation. Most of the time spent on our vacations at the lakes, the children are usually out on the water in one of these. They are easy to inflate as well. Some people think they are very expensive, but they actually are very reasonable in price. If you like being in the water and having fun, this is one of the best purchases you can make. They come in smaller sizes that only hold one or two people or bigger sizes that can occupy up to a lot more. We like the bigger ones for our children. My wife and I love to go out in our smaller one together to relax. If you don’t have a lot of money and can’t afford a fun vacation, buy some inflatable boats and you will have so much fun. When traveling to the lake, they take up a small size of space. When returning home, all you have to do is take them out of your vehicle and put them in your garage, basement, or wherever you normally store them. We don’t have a lot of storage space so this really helps us a lot. I strongly feel as these are the best inventions made for all the enjoyment and convenience a person’s family needs for the Summer. They are so much fun to ride in. My wife enjoys using our smaller one to go out on the lake by herself, too, to sun bathe and just lay back and relax. I think if a person tried these boats, they would be spending less money on vacations and more time at the lakes. There would also be no more arguing between the children of who gets a turn to use it. They make them big enough so everyone can use it at once together.

My Mother and Father had an anniversary coming soon. It was the big important 50th Anniversary. My brothers and sisters wanted to do something special for them, but we  really weren’t sure what to do, or what my parents would like. We tried to decide if we should give them a reception, gift or pay for them to go on a trip. We set up an appointment with a travel agent to discuss luxury vacations. We decided to pay for them to go on a tip to Hawaii, since they always talked about going there. They never were able to take any big trips, due to how expensive it was to raise 4 children. We also gave them a low budget, inexpensive reception before they left. We learned that giving someone a luxury vacation, or taking one yourself, can sometimes be a one in a lifetime experience and one you’ll never forget.

I talked a few friends of mine into taking a little road trip out to Las Vegas with me. We’re going to go as soon as we can all get a week off of work at the same time. I’ve been looking online and reading about casinos and cheap hotel Las Vegas resorts and I think I’ve found a few places that we can afford. I really can’t wait to go.

My girlfriend has been trying to get me to take a little vacation to Hilton Head island. She’s been telling me all about Hilton Head rental properties and even got her parents wanting to go. I might have to surprise her in a couple of months and book a little week long vacation for us. We’ve been wanting to take a vacation for a while now.

My girlfriend’s parents have been on a ton of different cruises. I’ve been thinking about booking a cruise for me and my girlfriend, but I really have no idea which one is the best. I wouldn’t mind going down to the Bahama’s for a couple of weeks to get away from work and everything. I’m going to have to look into it.
